Ask about plansWhat goes into your price
A sprinkler system is a set of parts working together. Knowing how they fit explains where the cost comes from.
Yard Size
Larger properties need more piping, more heads, and broader coverage.
Number of Zones
Each zone has its own valve and 10–15 heads tuned to the area it waters.
Materials
Premium piping, heads, and a reliable controller cost more up front and less over time.
Site Conditions
Soil, slopes, existing landscaping, and access all affect labor and time.
A sprinkler system has three main parts. The controller is a small computer — usually mounted in the garage — that decides when each part of the system runs. From there, a network of valves sits in underground boxes, opening and closing to send water through the pipes. Finally, the sprinkler heads pop up and water your lawn, grouped into zones of roughly 10–15 heads depending on your water pressure.
Your lawn is divided into zones because different areas have different needs. Grass, flower beds, and vegetable gardens all water differently — beds and gardens often use gentle drip lines or bubblers so delicate plants aren't bruised. Choosing durable, high-quality heads and piping from the start reduces breakdowns and saves money on repairs down the road, all while keeping your lawn consistently healthy.
