Windcrest sold its first home in 1954 and incorporated in 1959, and it has kept its own identity ever since, from its own water district to its famous “City of Lights” holiday displays. San Antonio surrounds Windcrest, but Windcrest homes in its district get their water from Bexar County Water Control & Improvement District #10, which sets its own restrictions. The city’s website lists the district at Stage 3 as of October 2026. Outside drought stages, Windcrest’s standing rule is to water before 10 a.m. or after 8 p.m.

Because District #10’s days and hours aren’t the same as SAWS’s, a controller set for San Antonio rules may be wrong here. Check the City of Windcrest for current Stage 3 details, and we’ll set your system to match.
