Von Ormy is a small, rural city on the Medina River in southwest Bexar County, where I-35 crosses the old Camino Real. It incorporated in 2008 and is known for Enoch Jones’s 1860s “Castle on the Medina.” All American Irrigation Systems repairs and installs sprinkler systems for Von Ormy homes. Call (210) 826-6474.

Von Ormy homes are served by Atascosa Rural Water Supply Corporation, not SAWS, so SAWS watering days, hours and rebate programs don’t apply. Atascosa Rural WSC has its own five-stage drought plan. It doesn’t post its current stage online, so call the WSC at (210) 622-3901 to confirm your rules. We’ll program your controller to whatever schedule applies.

Von Ormy doesn’t have public sewer yet, so most homes are on septic. That changes how a sprinkler system should be laid out:

• Keep spray off the drainfield. Extra water on a drainfield can saturate it and cause septic problems.
• Keep trenches away from tanks and lines. We locate the septic system before we dig.
• Use drip near the house and drainfield edges, where precise watering matters most.

Many Von Ormy properties are larger rural lots, sometimes with gardens, trees and open areas that don’t all need the same water. We zone by use, so lawns, beds, trees and gardens each get the right amount, and we design for the pressure and flow your water line actually delivers.

• Sprinkler repair: leaks, heads, valves and controllers.
• New systems laid out around septic, with a 7-year parts and labor warranty on new installs.
• Drip irrigation for gardens, beds and trees.
• Drainage solutions.
• Backflow testing by a licensed tester (BPAT BP0018846). Texas rules require backflow protection on irrigation systems connected to drinking water.
